In 2003 we participated in the autumn festival in Paris.
At an ordinary weekend the local interpreter told us that in Paris there were 100 plays put on show in different theatres on that single day.
While she was speaking, a sense of superiority not easy to perceive flickered across her eyes.

Walking randomly in a London street, we saw a comfortable gallery, entering in time for an opening of an exhibition.
Even judged in a harsh light, the exhibition we ran into could be regarded as a fairly good one.
And the monthly index of exhibitions in London that you could get free in this gallery, indicated that in this month in this city there would be nearly 500 exhibitions opened or closed.
You could not help remembering that sense of superiority not easy to perceive.
If you live where you can always see good shows and good exhibitions at all times and at all places;
If on these exhibitions the babies in infant trolleys are as leisurely and carefree before the works as the old men in armchairs;
If on the opening receptions the low IQ people in spotless suits can be seen smiling with glasses of champagne in their hands as if they are at home;
The question is, if you live in such a place, cherishing that minor sense of superiority is really nothing.
